一番初めにAlan Ballがためしに書いてHBOに見せたPilotでは、BrendaはNateが泥を棺おけに投げつけるシーンで、Nateに好意をよせるという、Nice Girl Friendという設定だったが、その場面をなしにして、Brendaをミステリアスで知的なイメージに変えたらしいです。
